BMus. Audio Engineer
About me.
Hello!
My name is Chris and I’m a 24 year old audio engineer from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
My engineering endeavors started in garages, and basements alike. Recording onto a hand-me-down MacBook (2012), on an outdated version of Logic Pro and Garage Band that was used to record hardcore, psych rock, and everything in-between. That setup felt like dragon-skin armor to me, and it became the foundation to my curiosity.
I spent the latter part as a teenager teaching myself how to engineer my friends’ records. I enjoyed it enough to pursue this passion at the University of Lethbridge, AB in 2020.
It was at the University of Lethbridge where I learned how to become more agile in my skills, and how to nurture my creativity. Using the University of Lethbridge’s recording facilities, I had the privilege of learning how to use a variety of work surfaces and programs. Surfaces such as the SSL Duality (48) and programs such as Pro Tools, PureData, and MaxMSP, to name a few.
In five years, I graduated with honors, and received the Joyce & Ron Sakamoto Award for Research & Development in Digital Audio Arts for a ray-traced-audio modeling program that I developed in Unity. Alongside these commendations, I had the privilege to act as the Digital Audio Arts Student Representative (2023-2024), and the President / Chair of the Audio Engineering Society Student Chapter (2022-2023). The submersion I had into my academics led me to meet some of my favorite collaborators, and was a catalyst to my progression as an engineer.
While attending the University of Lethbridge, which sat atop coulees, I grew to be inspired by the prairie landscapes of Alberta. These are features I try to bring out in production and sound excavations. Granular sound environments, and dense textures; these are the sounds that inspire me.
Currently, I bring these sound colors to a folk band called Chrome Harvest, in Lethbridge, AB; a group I founded with my friends from University. Debuting in 2023, Chrome Harvest has since been featured by media giants such as EXCLAIM!, The Yellow Button, and the CBC.
“Chrome Harvest are emerging from Western Canada’s wheat fields as Alberta’s next indie folk act to watch.”
Em Medland-Marchen, EXCLAIM! (April 2, 2025)
While playing in the outfit, I have been working as a freelance engineer and producer, helping artists around Alberta carve their musical identities, and sound.

Award winning engineer, producer, and developer, aspiring to create long-lasting, and professional audio works.
